Minnesota School of Cosmetology (MSC) invites the community to its fifth annual National Night Out celebration at its Woodbury campus and inaugural event at its Plymouth location on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. This free event provides the entire community a safe and fun way for families to come together, meet neighbors and engage with local business owners. Last year’s event at our Woodbury location drew close to 350 people.
The event will feature a bouncy house, face painting, crazy hair dos, games, food and much more. Kids will even have an opportunity to get their picture taken with a prince and princess at our Plymouth location. Adults will have the chance to enter a drawing for a complimentary spa day – pampering yourself with spa pedicures, manicures and facials. MSC will also be giving out coupons for a free service. Local public safety officials will also be on hand at our Woodbury location.
In addition, MSC will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Sheridan Story on behalf of 9-year-old Rhuin Eisley, a south Minneapolis girl with a mission to feed hungry children in the metro. Rhuin has spent her summer painting nails and doing odd jobs to help her cause.
“Rhuin’s love of community and cosmetology struck a real chord with us,” says MSC director, Jill Hocking. “We are so excited to partner with her on this mission and help children in need right here in our own community.”
National Night Out is an annual community-building event held the first Tuesday of August. The goal is to build stronger neighborhood relationships and police-community partnerships to ensure a safer place to live.
