Minnesota School of Cosmetology Teams Up with Make – A – Wish

Minnesota School of Cosmetology – Plymouth has teamed up with Make=A-Wish Minnesota to raise money to grant wishes for children facing life threatening medical conditions.

Kelly, the Walk for Wishes and Family Engagement Coordinator, visited the MSC -Plymouth campus and brainstormed fundraising ideas with our students.  The students enjoyed having Kelly on campus to bounce ideas off of and get a better idea of the many things Make- A- Wish does for children with serious illnesses and their families.

After much deliberation the students decided on their top fundraising ideas to run in collaboration with the Walk for Wishes.

The week leading up to the walk our students and staff will be participating in MSC Spirit Week.

We have begun Coin Wars with our day, evening and staff, battling to see who can raise the most money.

Our front desk is Selling Make-A-Wish stars for $1. For every star purchased your name will be entered into a drawing for a gift basket.

On August 5th, 2015 Minnesota School of Cosmetology – Plymouth will be offering $5 basic manicures with all proceeds going to Make-A-Wish.  Walk-ins are welcome based on availability.  Please call our front desk (763) 404 -4800 to schedule your Make-A-Wish manicure!
