- Fill our an application for admission — your representative can help with every step!
- Meet with a financial aid representative to determine whether your qualify for loans, grants, or scholarships.

Minnesota school of Cosmetology Admissions FAQ
If you are like most students, you have a few questions before you apply. We have compiled some of the most frequently asked questions below. If you have a questions that is not listed here or did not find all the information you need, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at our Woodbury or Plymouth locations.
What types of schedules do you offer? What are your hours?
Minnesota School of Cosmetology offers day and night programs, and full-time and part-time schedules. Please contact us for specific information on programs and class hours.
Does Minnesota School of Cosmetology offer financial aid?
We do and will arrange a private meeting to help you identify loans, grants and scholarships for which you may qualify.
Do you accept transfer credits from another beauty school or college?
At the discretion and approval of each Minnesota School of Cosmetology campus, students may transfer hours completed within the last three years from another accredited institution.
Students who have attended a college level Cosmetology program at a Minnesota Board of Cosmetology approved high school will be eligible for transfer of hours consideration. Students will be evaluated by their transcripts and technical cosmetology certification.
How long are the cosmetology and massage therapy programs?
As a full-time student with nearly perfect attendance, you will complete your training in 10 months for cosmetology and 5 months for massage therapy. If you work full-time or have family commitments you may choose a part-time program. Part-time students typically complete the program in 20 months for cosmetology. We currently do not have a part-time program for massage therapy.
What are the admission requirements?
You will need a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and proof of immunization.
