Nationally Accredited Cosmetology School
The Minnesota School of Cosmetology campus in Woodbury is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts & Sciences, Inc., (NACCAS). NACCAS is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a national accrediting agency for post-secondary schools, departments of cosmetology arts and sciences and massage therapy.

It is important to choose a cosmetology school that is accredited by an organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. In order to receive accreditation, schools must show they are meeting specific standards of quality, as well as measurable outcomes including retention, graduation rates, placement rates, professional experience of faculty and practical experience provided by programs.
Here is a small sampling of the standards NACCAS evaluates:
- Faculty experienced in their area of instruction
- Facilities, equipment and supplies
- Student support services
- Programs that meet state requirements
As an accredited school, we are also eligible to offer financial aid through federal loan and grant programs. Accreditation is a voluntary process. Not all cosmetology schools are accredited.

Attending an institution accredited by an organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education is often a requirement for employment. For more information on our accreditation and how it impacts your education, or about Minnesota School of Cosmetology in general, please call our Campus.
