Woodbury, Minn. (Jan. 25, 2017) – Minnesota School of Cosmetology Woodbury is now accepting gently used prom dresses for Fairytale Fashion for Food. The event, held from 1-4p p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12, at Woodbury Senior High School, is a fun afternoon of dress shopping and swapping to help at-risk and underserved children of Washington County Schools. Minnesota School of Cosmetology Offers Day of Pampering to Those in Recovery

Plymouth, Minn. (Dec. 11, 2016) – The Minnesota School of Cosmetology (MSC) is offering those in recovery complimentary services at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12 and 19, at our Plymouth location. MSC Receives National Honor as Top School in Beauty Industry

Minnesota School of Cosmetology (MSC) is being recognized nationally for its excellent infection control standards and dedication to the Barbicide Certification Program. MSC was awarded the Barbicide Sapphire Award  Nov. 16 at our Woodbury location, 1750 Weir Dr #3, Woodbury, MN 55125. Minnesota School of Cosmetology Collecting Donations for Coats for Kids

Minnesota School of Cosmetology (MSC) is once again partnering with the Salvation Army to make sure kids will stay warm this winter. Both Plymouth and Woodbury locations are now accepting gently used or new coat donations from clients for the Coats for Kids campaign. In return for those donations, clients will receive $10 off a single service. “Our goal is to beat the 150 coats we collected last year between each location,” said Cori Omundson, front desk manager. Minnesota School of Cosmetology (MSC) is excited to welcome all students displaced by the sudden closure of Regency Beauty Institute. MSC will be holding a special open house on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 1-7 p.m. at both its Woodbury and Plymouth campuses to provide important information and answer all questions about the transition. Minnesota School of Cosmetology (MSC) invites the community to its fifth annual National Night Out celebration at its Woodbury campus and inaugural event at its Plymouth location on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. This free event provides the entire community a safe and fun way for families to come together, meet neighbors and engage with local business owners. MSC – Plymouth Helps Send Meals to Ecuador for Day of Service

On Friday, June 17, 2016, from noon-2 p.m., 10 Minnesota School of Cosmetology-Plymouth staff members volunteered at Feed My Starving Children in Coon Rapids as part of Globe Education Network’s annual Community Service Day. We were very excited to participate in this event and had a lot of fun as we packed nutritious meals for people in need. MSC – Woodbury Staff Volunteer at Tubman Center

Each year, the Minnesota School of Cosmetology closes the school for a day and participates in an organized volunteer opportunity. For our 2016 annual community service project on Friday June 17, 2016, MSC-Woodbury staff members volunteered at Tubman in Maplewood. Throughout the Twin Cities, Tubman provides safe shelter, legal services, mental and chemical health counseling, elder abuse resources, youth programming and community education. Tubman is the state’s largest provider of domestic violence services, with over 20 percent of all Minnesota shelter beds for women and children experiencing family violence.
