The sun was shining, brats were on the grill and hundreds of fans were ready to cheer on their local baseball team at Midway Stadium on Sunday, June 22, 2014. As part of Globe University and Minnesota School of Business’ Family & Fun Nights with the Saint Paul Saints, Jill Hocking, campus director for Minnesota School of Cosmetology-Woodbury, had the opportunity to represent Globe Education Network and throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

The Saints are known for their entertaining, fan-involved game experience, and Jill had the honor of kicking off all the fun.

“I practiced a little this morning, so I think I’m ready!” Jill said when asked if she was nervous.

With an official Saints baseball in hand, Jill wound up and threw it to the catcher at home plate as the crowd cheered her on. Now it was time to play ball!

Jill, her family and the rest of the fans enjoyed a great game that afternoon. The Saints ended up losing to the Rockland Boulders 4-3, but it was a fun and exciting day for everyone at the field. Other Globe University and Minnesota School of Business designated Family & Fun Nights are Saturday July 12, Saturday Aug. 2, Sunday Aug. 10 and Sunday Aug. 17.
